Icons | The First Churchills
I'm probably the only one on LJ to want, let alone make, First Churchills icons, but here are 20 anyway!
For the uninitiated, the series, made in 1969, told the story of the first Duke and Duchess of Marlborough, through the reigns of Charles II, James II, William and Mary and Queen Anne. It starred John Neville, Susan Hampshire, John Standing, James Villiers and Margaret Tyzak. It was exceptionally well-written and acted, and I'd recommend it to anyone with an interest in English history as it covers a period not often documented by television and film.
