I'm going to snag some of these, but they're not what I was expecting! Apparently Mr. Mitchell was in *two* productions of Henry VIII -- one a 6 part series from the BBC and this! These are not the same women in the other.

No, they're not, and he was indeed - the BBC series (confusingly called The Six Wives of Henry VIII) was made in 1970, and this is the follow-up, or spin-off film from 1972, hence the rearrangement of the title.

I personally prefer the casting in the film, and the shorter time-scale - the length of the TV series meant a lot of ground was covered more than once, and the writers had to pad out the stories of the lesser-known wives.
