I'm afraid PGF had the same THIS IS NOT FUNNY reaction as Watson when she read that sentence, though personally I think otherwise. ^^ Poor Holmes. As if the eye weren't bad enough, I could so see the Granada Mrs. Hudson chewing Holmes out like that, too! (And that was a killer last line as well - no pun intended. :)
Thank you for doing this! I was a bit down this morning due to vacation ending today and so this really made me laugh.
EDIT: Oh, and I hope you feel better soon! I have chronic ear problems in the winter and spring, and I know how horribly trying they can be. :(
