Author's Note: This story is set in the Granada universe, after the Memoirs and following my own fics Over the Edge, To Offer Solace and Thank You for the Music. My first attempt at a retirement fic! The idea of Mrs Hudson acting as housekeeper for Holmes comes from Laurie R King's Mary Russell books.
