Anywhere Is...

A couple of pieces I was working on last night, both created in ArtStudio.

I quite like this one, though I'm still not that used to drawing the Phantom sans mask:

I decided a couple of weeks ago that I wanted to draw Christine's original Masquerade costume and finally got round to it today. The colours are approximate as not that many photos of it exist (Maria Bjornson redesigned the dress when the show went to Broadway, and the silver Saloon Girl got axed in favour of the sparkly Star Princess). For a change I have deliberately attempted to make Christine look a little like Sarah Brightman. :)

I am really pleased with this one. It's the first cartoon I've produced using the graphics tablet to add colour that actually looks as it would if I'd coloured it the old fashioned way with felt-tips. Took me ages to add all the black lines back in!

Sketched out and inked, then scanned and coloured. Inspired by this video.

I am really pleased with this one.

It's directly inspired by this video, and the fact that we've started watching Friends again for the first time in years.

Drawn first in pencil, then inked and colour added in Photoshop. I used a different brush this time, one that looks more like a felt tip. During the making of this cartoon I discovered that I can't draw umbrellas.

Happy Easter, folks!

I actually did this one the Sunday before last.

Sketched out and scanned, then coloured in Photoshop. I chose not to use the skull mask for Red Death, as it's rather inexpressive and also a complete pig to draw. Skeletons and I do not get on.
